We're introduced to the group of bikers through the perspective of Cinnia in the first novel, "Original Cin". Having grown up in the mountainous town unofficially governed by the Raptors, she'd had her heart broken by Brennan Drummond and fled to the city to start over. As it turns out, Brennan is hard to forget, and when he arrives at her workplace to take her home, she offers little resistance.
